I constantly see relationships worth denoting. Connections are everywhere when we are receptive to them. I enjoy stimulating these abstractions in a vibrant physical form. Throughout the entire creative process, my work flows between analog and digital states. With a vinyl cutter and digitally-vectored shapes, I cut stencils. These stencils allow me to compose each painting without ever touching canvas. I mark the canvas with spray paint, and leverage the advantages of this medium: spray paint is thin, opaque, and smooth. My art seeks to saturate traditional spaces with nonrepresentational spray paint work. I aspire to promote wonderment in how we observe, perceive and interpret our surroundings. Many of us habitually process visual stimuli and move thoughtlessly along with our days. I conceptualize my work playfully and construct it with an emphasis on technique and presentation, challenging my viewers to inquire, within themselves.
